What is charged, what is checked, what is never sold
Mashofe.com is a commercial business and says so. It earns a commission on trips matched through this board, plus verification and intelligence on subscription. It does not earn on access to the board, and it does not earn on anybody's identity.
Confirmation is not switched on yet. Every posting here reads Post not confirmed, because nobody has checked it. When the two gates go live, a poster will confirm an emailed code before anything appears, and the team will raise a second mark by hand. Until then Mashofe.com claims nothing about anyone.
Charged on the trip, not on the search
The percentage falls as the trip value rises, so a high-value corridor run is not charged at the same rate as a city hop.
What "whoever takes the match" means
Whichever party acts on the other's posting carries the commission. If a transporter takes a load that a shipper posted, the transporter pays. If a shipper takes a truck that a transporter posted, the shipper pays. Posting is never charged, and the party who posted first is never charged.
What happens if the trip does not run
Nothing is charged. The commission attaches to a trip, not to an introduction. If the two of you talk and it comes to nothing, that costs neither of you anything.
Why Mashofe.com needs the trip value
Because the band depends on it. Once you agree terms, the agreed value of the trip is confirmed to Mashofe.com so the correct band applies. Mashofe.com does not set that value, does not negotiate it and has no view on whether it is a good rate - it only needs to know which band the trip falls in.
The four tiers
Identity is not a product
The board data - which lanes are busy, where capacity is thin, what the borders are doing - is Mashofe.com's to publish and to sell. Who posted a load, who owns a truck and what number belongs to whom is not. It is passed once, to the counterparty in an introduction, and it is not for sale at any price to anybody.
Get verified
Send us the company and we will tell you what is needed. Transporters and shippers will both be verified, and a domestic-only operator is verified on the same basis as a cross-border one, minus the border paperwork.
What is charged, and when
| Event | Charged | Paid by |
|---|---|---|
| Browsing, searching, filtering | Nothing | - |
| Posting a load, a truck or a desk | Nothing | - |
| Shortlisting and requesting an introduction | Nothing | - |
| A match on this board becomes an actual trip | A trip commission, tiered by the value of that trip | Whoever took the match - never the party who posted first |
| No trip results from the introduction | Nothing | - |
You pay this board when it has actually worked
Some platforms in this region charge a flat monthly fee whatever happens. That is a defensible model and it suits a large forwarder with steady volume, because the cost per load falls as the volume rises.
It suits an owner-driver badly. A month with two trips pays the same as a month with twenty, and the board has no stake in whether either of them happened. Charging on a completed trip puts Mashofe.com on the same side of the table as the operator: if the introduction goes nowhere, this board earns nothing from it, which is the only arrangement that keeps a board honest about the quality of its introductions rather than the quantity of its subscribers.
