Who is responsible

Mashofe.com is operated by Cabanga Africa (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in Botswana. Questions about this notice or about your information go to info@mashofe.com.

What is collected

When you post a load, post a truck, request an introduction or apply for verification, we collect what you type into that form: a company name, a contact number, the details of the load or the truck, and anything you add in a note. Where a match results in a trip, we also record the agreed value of that trip, because the commission band depends on it. Nothing else is collected about you and there is no account to create.

Saved loads and your own posting references are stored in your browser on your own device. They are not sent to us and we cannot see them.

What is published

Loads are published without the shipper's company name or contact details. Trucks are published with the operator's business name, position, rig, scope and availability, because that is what the board is for - but never with a direct contact number.

Who it is shared with

Your contact details are passed to one counterparty, at one introduction, for that job. They are not published, not listed, not sold and not shared with any third party for marketing. Aggregate board data - lane volumes, rate movement, border readings - may be published or sold, but never in a form that identifies you or reveals the value of any individual trip.

How long it is kept

Posting, introduction and commission records are kept for as long as needed to run the service, to raise and settle a commission, and to answer a dispute about who was introduced to whom, and are then deleted. You may ask for your details to be removed at any time, subject to any record we are required to retain for tax or accounting purposes.

Your rights

You may ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Where the Botswana Data Protection Act applies, those rights are given by that Act. Where a posting or an introduction touches South Africa, POPIA may apply; where it touches a person in the European Economic Area, the GDPR may apply. Requests under any of them go to the address above.

Cookies and measurement

Mashofe.com sets no advertising cookies and runs no advertising trackers. Local storage is used only to remember what you saved on your own device.
