For transporters

The board is free. You pay when you earn.

Looking is free. Searching is free. Posting your truck is free. Mashofe.com charges a commission on the trip when you take a load off this board and run it - and nothing at all if you do not.

Domestic or cross-border - choose before you search

Both live on this board and they behave nothing alike. One has a border on it and one does not, and everything from permits to paperwork to who else you need follows from that.

What you get and what you do not

Said plainly, before you sign up to anything

Mashofe.com does

  • Show you every open load across twelve SADC markets, free
  • Carry domestic legs alongside cross-border runs
  • Flag which loads come with a load for the way back
  • Put your truck in front of shippers, free
  • Check that a shipper is real before you are introduced
  • Make the introduction on WhatsApp inside one business day
  • Charge a trip commission, tiered by trip value, when you take a match

Mashofe.com does not

  • Set, negotiate or guarantee your rate
  • Hold, release or process any payment to you
  • Carry, clear, insure or take custody of any cargo
  • Guarantee that a shipper will pay you
  • Charge you anything to look, search or post
  • Charge you at all if no trip results
  • Sell your identity or your position to anyone
Verification

The plate that gets you picked first

Verification will check your operating licence, your permits, your goods-in-transit cover and your fleet. A verified operator carries the plate on every posting and sits first in the introduction queue. A shipper choosing between two trucks picks the one that has been checked - and that is as true on a domestic run as on a border crossing.

Routes and corridors

What each route asks of you

Permits, cover, documents and dwell, corridor by corridor. Open the ones you run and check the list against what is in the cab.

Transit times and dwell are what operators on these routes report, not a guarantee. Permits and documents are the shipper's and the transporter's responsibility - Mashofe.com does not lodge, clear or carry anything.

Straight answers

Questions people ask

Do I need an account?

No. There are no accounts on Mashofe.com. You search the board, you request an introduction, and a person handles it from there. Anything you save sits on your own device.

So what do I actually pay?

Nothing to look, nothing to search, nothing to post. When you take a load off this board and the trip runs, Mashofe.com charges a trip commission tiered by the value of that trip. You are told the band before the introduction is made, never after, and there is no charge if the trip does not happen.

Why is it a percentage and not a flat fee?

Because a flat fee is punishing on a short domestic hop and trivial on a full corridor run. Tiering by trip value means the rate falls as the trip gets bigger, so a Gaborone to Molepolole load is not carrying the same charge as Durban to Lubumbashi.

Does Mashofe.com negotiate my rate?

No. The rate is agreed between you and the shipper and Mashofe.com takes no part in that conversation. What Mashofe.com does need, once the trip is agreed, is the trip value - because the commission band depends on it.

I only run domestic work. Is this for me?

Yes. About half the board is domestic and there is a filter for it. Verification works the same way for a domestic operator, minus the cross-border permits.

What happens if a shipper does not pay me?

That is between you and the shipper - Mashofe.com is not a party to the contract and cannot recover it for you. What Mashofe.com can do is stop introducing that shipper to anyone else, which is why we ask you to report it.
